In response to Music Generation, the RIAM has created a Diploma that aims to develop appropriately skilled musicians to teach in the community and classroom setting.
This one-year programme will be run over 6 intensive weekends on RIAM premises in Dublin between September and June of each year.
On-site work in schools or community settings will also be undertaken by participants.

Ballina Arts Centre wishes to invite young people to showcase their talent in The Youth of Today... a special performance at this year’s Culture Night @ Ballina Arts Centre, on Friday 21st September.
Music Generation Laois is now seeking to establish a panel of Music Tutors/Choral Practitioners to deliver a:
- Harp Tuition programme
- Brass Tuition programme
- Cello Tuition Programme
- Choral Music Programme
for vacancies and/or opportunities to tender that may arise during the 2012-2013 academic year, in locations across Laois.
As part of its year- long 10th Birthday Celebrations, The Galway Music Residency is proud to announce a call for submissions! The residency is seeking a composer (Irish or Irish–based) to write a piece of music in celebration of a decade of music in Galway. The piece will be written for the current Galway Ensemble in Residence; ConTempo Quartet.
Please note that the deadline for submission of proposals has now passed and applications are in the process of being shortlisted.
Solstice Shore Songs was an event curated by Music Generation Mayo to encourage the community to come together and sing to celebrate International Music Day on June 21st 2012. The success of the event was down to the time, effort and participation of those involved. There was a wonderful sense of community, new friendships and celebration of song, thanks to all involved!
RTE Radio One's Céilí House Programme came to Mayo recently and in associationwith Music Generation Mayo, a wonderful programme of traditional music was recorded in the Linenhall Arts Centre Castlebar.
