Mervyn Sayers graduated with a Higher Diploma in Arts and Music Education from Griffith College Dublin and also studied Jazz Performance formally at Newpark School of Music in Dublin, Ireland. His is passionate about playing and teaching the saxophone and his performing experience varies from rock and blues bands to regular performances with his jazz ensemble throughout the country. He is resident Tenor Saxophonist for “Supernova” a Dublin based Funk/RnB/Rock band.
Mervyn likes to teach all ages, from beginner to advanced and has a wide array of teaching experience gained through working with the Rye Institute, Maynooth, The Music Workshop Carlow and his own private practice. In addition to saxophone lessons, he also offers tuition in the following areas, Aural Skills Training, Music Theory (all grades), Sight Singing, Leaving Certificate Tuition, Sibelius and Logic Tutorials.
